Accomplishments

Mr. Seibel has handled medical negligence claims against healthcare providers for nearly twenty years. He has personally tried over 40 medical malpractice cases to verdict. His practice has included trials in urban, suburban and rural venues. He has personally handled appeals at all appellate levels including the Supreme Courts of Ohio and Missouri. Mr. Seibel is presently of General Counsel with Hamlin and Burton Liability Management, Inc. He is responsible for supervision of claims against long term care facilities insured through a large risk retention group. From 1998-2005, he was the co-founder of Seibel & Eckenrode specializing in the defense of medical negligence cases. From 1988-1997, Mr. Seibel was a partner with Jacobson, Maynard, Tuschman & Kalur, Co., L.P.A., specializing in the defense of medical negligence cases. From 1985-1987 he was in-house counsel to TRW, Inc. From 1982-1985 Mr. Seibel was clerk to the Chief Justice of Ohio Supreme Court.
