Accomplishments
Ms. Martin’s experience includes a broad range of commercial disputes, unfair competition claims, and all types of employment-related claims including age, sex, race and disability discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, Family Medical Leave Act, ERISA, wrongful discharge and various tort claims. In the employment context, Ms. Martin has litigated class actions, pattern and practice suits alleging sex, age and race discrimination, and EEOC suits. She has advised clients regarding compliance with federal employment statutes and development and implementation of employee policies including discipline, leave and termination, and has broad experience conducting internal investigations relating to employment discrimination and harassment claims. She has arbitrated commercial disputes, and has extensive experience representing parties in litigation, arbitration and mediation settings. Ms. Martin has substantial experience at all levels of Missouri trial and appellate court practice. Since 1984, she has tried cases before Missouri state and federal courts, and administrative agencies, and has handled appeals in the Missouri Court of Appeals, Missouri Supreme Court, and the Eighth Circuit. Ms. Martin is a Partner at Bryan Cave. She previously served on the firm’s Operating Group and Executive Committee, and is currently a co-leader of the firm’s commercial litigation practice group.
