Accomplishments
Ms. Kirn has over 21 years legal experience in private law firms as well as in house counsel to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and to the Illinois State Comptroller. She has handled many commercial, franchise, licensing, intellectual property, leasing, and construction disputes. Additionally, Ms. Kirn has handled numerous educational issues involving employment, tenure, first amendment, affirmative action, student records, malpractice and medical training.
She has published numerous legal articles on the subjects of employee misconduct, sexual harassment, privacy in the workplace and other related topics. She has taught Business Law and Ethics to senior Business School students at SIUE.
